ID-Sign : Digital Signature Technology
ID-Sign is a suite of digital signature technologies developed by IDSignet to help customers moving from manual process to an automated business process, reducing cost and overhead, increasing efficiency, productivity, revenue and profit.
ID-Sign is the overall name for IDSignet's digital signature technologies, and consists of the following components:
One of the major features of ID-Sign is multiple-signature on multiple-sections, based on IDSignet's patent-pending technologies. Multiple signers can sign in the same document, while each signer is responsible for the contents in different portions of the document.
By integrating ID-Sign into enterprise application systems, customers can move to a totally automated business process and true paperless office environment. And this can be done without throwing away existing investments.
Overview
Intense competition and the growth of global trade are demanding businesses to streamline operations, automate processes, reduce cost and stay profitable. One critical bottleneck in business process and transaction is the management and control of signed legal documents and information exchange.
The advance of computer development and the use of information technology in the business environment did not solve this bottleneck issue, and the promise of paperless office is never realized. Management and handling of signed legal business documents are still a painful manual process. This process is not only labor intensive, expensive, but also produce numerous errors due to misplacing or missing of documents. The majority of these paperworks (e.g. billing, procurement, etc) are repetitive, the formats are uniform. Thus, the process should be automated and integrated with existing enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, financial and accounting systems, etc. However, with current technology, streamlining and automation of the process are difficult, if not impossible. Communication and collaboration among businesses, and among different departments, are still based on old, expensive, slow technologies and methods, such as fax, courier, or personal delivery.
The cost and overhead of paperwork can be extremely expensive. As a matter of fact, according to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, US$1.3 trillions were spent in the US in 2001, but US$300 billions of this total cost were spent on paperwork. This represents an overhead cost of over 20%.
ID-Sign has been designed and developed to solve this real life problem. It is now possible to reduce, if not eliminate, this overhead cost, and help our customers to increase profit.
Applications
ID-Sign is designed to be used in any enterprise applications that require legal-binding, non-repudiatable digital signature, including billing, procurement, online contract, collaboration, workflow, ERP systems, financial and accounting systems, online tax filling, etc.
